(Fascist , Stalinist, thought -policing, anti-free speech) LGBT Lobby much like frenzied Nazis – letter in the Observer

“First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out–
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out–
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out–
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me–and there was no one left to speak for me”.

Dear Editor,
Concerning last Sunday Observer’s article titled ‘Gay advocates want UWI professor sacked’, why should any selfrespecting university or community countenance the drowning out of quiet, sober and rational evidence-based biological truth by the loud, frenzied and “politically correct” drumming of any special interest groups noising in concert?

Consider an extra-ordinary irony, is this vexatious new LGBT campaigning in Jamaica and the Caribbean not emerging along similar lines to how frenzied Nazis caused untold harm to innocent humanity less than 80 years ago?

Did not their specious clamour foment a significant and disastrous derailment of scientific inquiry in Germany and Europe then? In their time, did the Nazis not set out to mug and gag the academy too?

I have known the brilliant Brendan Bain from he was a fifth form student at QRC in the mid-60s. And I can vouch for his exemplary graciousness, his consistent integrity and his unwavering commitment to rigour and thoroughness in thought.

What could motivate any intellectually honest individual to sling poisoned arrows at such a professional?
